asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how much money at constant prices was invested on capital account in new water, sewage disposal and sewerage schemes in the financial years 1969 to 1973 respectively.

Capital expenditure on water, sewerage and sewage disposal schemes in England in the financial years 1969–70 to 1972–73 has been as follows:

It is not possible to distinguish between expenditure on new schemes and ongoing schemes in the years concerned.
