asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the expenditure on sport and recreation by the local authorities in each of the last six years.

Separate figures for Wales are not available for the earlier part of this period. I refer the hon. Member to the reply given to him earlier today covering both England and Wales by my hon. Friend the Minister of State, Department of the Environment.
