§ Mr. Michael Morrisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will review the policy whereby both war disability pensions and industrial disablement benefits are only partially disregarded for rate rebates whereas they are fully disregarded for income tax assessments.
§ Mr. OakesMy right hon. Friend has at present no plans to amend the relevant provisions in the statutory scheme of rate rebates, but it is open to individual rating authorities to increase the amount of the disregard in local schemes.
