asked the Secretary of State for Industry what is the current postal letter rate for mail between member countries of the EEC prevailing in each EEC member country.

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what was the total amount of regional employment premiums and investment grants to industries paid in the Welsh development area during each of the last four years.

The total amounts of REP and investment grants paid in the Welsh Development Area in each of the last four years were:

Investment grants were abolished in October 1970 and payments have been made only to firms which entered into contracts before that date. Firms in the Welsh Development Area using qualifying premises have since March 1972 been eligible for regional development grants on plant and machinery.
