§ Mr. PeartI have discussed the pig situation on a number of occasions with my colleagues in the EEC Council of Ministers. In the light of those discussions not only have we introduced, with EEC agreement, our special pig subsidy, but also a number of Community measures have been brought in. In particular assisted private storage for pig-meat was introduced from 10th July. Also the increase in the EEC basic price due on 1st November is to be brought forward.
