Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science on what grounds an allocation for development of the new Montgomery College of Further Education has been refused for the year 1974–75.

Mr. Gerry Fowler

Following the cuts which had to be made in the further education capital programme there were other projects which seemed more urgent than the rebuilding of this college.

Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will include in his next list of approved building projects the programme of building development for the Montgomery College of Further Education.

I will consider this carefully in the light of the resources available at the time.
