§ Mr. George Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what objections to the proposed power stations at Carriden, Torness and Chapeldonan have been received from industrial or commercial enterprises situated in the vicinity of the sites of these power stations; and if he will identify those who have so objected.
§ Mr. William RossThe Carron Company and Shieldness Produce Ltd. objected to Carriden; Associated Portland 339W Cement Manufacturers Ltd. to Torness; and Alginate Industries Ltd. and William Grant and Sons Ltd. to Chapeldonan. The Carron Company and Associated Portland Cement Manufacturers Ltd. subsequently withdrew their objections.
