asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much has been spent in each of the past five years on renovation work and new work, respectively, at the Woburn Borstal, Mill-isle, indicating the work carried out.

The cost of maintenance and renovation work at the Woburn Borstal, Millisle, for each of the five years ending March 1974 was as follows:

Much of the expenditure was on normal maintenance, but repairs and renovations were necessary to the main building following damage caused by Borstal boys in 1972.

The cost of new works at the Woburn Borstal, Millisle, for each of the years ending March 1974 was:

New works carried out included completion of a gymnasium, the erection of separate accommodation for special grade boys, the erection of a boilerhouse and provision of a new boiler, an extension to the kitchens and the construction of staff garages.
