§ Mr. Tim Rentonasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will make it his policy to consult with the Industrial Development Advisory Board before extending public ownership.
§ Mr. HefferThe board is set up under Section 9 of the Industry Act 1972 to advise on the application of Sections 7 and 8 of the Act. Where circumstances permit, we intend to consult the board on all major cases arising under these powers.
