asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has any plans to reduce the number of lanes in the Chertsey-Wisley section of the proposed M25 motorway; and whether he will make a statement.

This is being reviewed in the light of the general revision of standards which my right hon. Friend announced on 17th June. I will make a statement as soon as possible.
