HC Deb 08 July 1974 vol 876 c373W
Mr. Crouch

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many accidents have occurred at Barham crossroads on the A2 near Canterbury since the work on the dual carriageway started eight years ago; and what steps he proposes to improve the situation.

Mr. Carmichael

Since 1966, 37 personal injury accidents have been recorded at this junction. Five of these occurred since the present junction works started in January 1974. The works now in progress and due for completion this autumn are designed to effect a major improvement to the junction. In the meantime maximum use is being made of signs giving warning of temporary diversions and hazards.
