§ Mr. PeartIn the 12 weeks of 1974 preceding the introduction of the special subsidy the estimated rate of sow and boar slaughterings averaged 11,700 per week. Following the introduction of the subsidy the weekly rate has averaged 9,800 per week. The results of the June census are not yet available to judge how replacement plans have developed.
