HC Deb 04 July 1974 vol 876 c267W
Mr. Russell Johnston

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many "Places of Safety" under the terms of the Social Work (Scotland) Act are available in the Highland Region.

Mr. William Ross

"Places of safety" are defined as places of various kinds which may be used temporarily and in particular circumstances arising in relation to individual children. It is, therefore, not possible to count the number of places available at any given time.
