asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will institute a departmental inquiry into the need for the advertising of public meetings to be prohibited at the discretion of the police.

In the light of the answer which I gave to Questions on this subject by the hon. Member on 28th June —[Vol. 875, c.565–6]—I do not think that any inquiry is called for.
