asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why the police flats at Collinson House, Effra Road, Lambeth, remain empty ; and what action he proposes to take about them.

Mr. Lipton

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what use is intended for the police flats at Collinson House, Effra Road, Brixton, in view of the fact that the flats are empty and there is a housing shortage in Lambeth.

Mr. Carlisle

As soon as transfer and redecoration are complete the flats will be used as much needed accommodation for prison officers.
