§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many signatures he has now received from the sponsors of the Europe'73 project and what replies he has made to the organisation concerned.
§ Mr. WoodOver 450 hon. Members have written about the Europe'73 campaign. I estimate that the campaign petition has attracted up to 400,000 signatures. The campaign's sponsors have not approached me directly for comments on their petition, but I set out my views when I wrote to the hon. Member. I am greatly encouraged by the extent of the interest shown, through this petition, in the European Community's relations with developing countries.
