HC Deb 01 February 1974 vol 868 cc189-90W
Mr. Farr

asked the Minister for Posts and Telecommunications, since the imposition of the emergency regulations and up to the latest convenient date, what percentage of first class mail has arrived the following day.

Sir J. Eden

The Post Office tells me that it cannot yet add to its statement estimating that about 350,000 first class letters daily would be delayed by 24 hours as a result of the restrictions in rural services.
