asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give details of the number of persons employed in the Welsh Office's European Division and their grades.

Mr. John Morris

Numbers and grades are as follows:

  • 1 Assistant Secretary.
  • 1 Principal.
  • 1 Higher Executive Officer.
  • 1 Administration Trainee.
  • 1 Clerical Officer.
  • 1 Clerical Assistant.
  • 1 Personal Secretary.

As necessary, the division also draws on the resources of the appropriate functional division of the office in respect of particular items of work.
