§ Mr. John MorrisLocal authorities have a general consent to the acquisition of properties falling within the categories defined at paragraph 30 of Circular 111/74. Returns from authorities indicate a total committed expenditure of £199,231. I have also approved the issue of loan sanction in the total sum of £226,807 for the acquisition of second-hand dwellings falling outside the categories. I have approved the issue of loan sanction in the total sum of £6,433,050 for the acquisition of new dwellings. The number of dwellings involved is 54, 26 and 692 respectively.

§ Mr. Michael Lathamasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT each local authority to which he gave loan sanction between 31st October and 30th November in order to buy unsold dwellings from private developers under Circular 111 / 74, the number of dwellings approved in each local authority area and the cumulative total in the month.
