asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received since 21st November 1974 about the restoration of the death penalty for terrorist activities when those activities result in murder.

Up to and including 27th November I had received about about 1,800 letters urging the restoration of capital punishment for acts of terrorism.
