Lord HYLTON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What are the rights of both parents and teachers as regards sexual and moral education given in schools.

The MINISTER of STATE, DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION and SCIENCE (Lord CROWTHER-HUNT)

It is common practice for local education authorities and schools to take into account the views of teachers and parents in deciding on the presentation of sensitive moral issues to pupils.

House adjourned at half-past five o'clock.
