HC Deb 10 April 1974 vol 872 c186W
Mr. Biffen

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what discussions he has had with France concerning the disposal of the 100,000 tons of French apples now in store; and what assurances have been sought and given that the marketing of these apples will not unduly disturb home production or the traditional pattern of United Kingdom trade in apples.

Mr. Moyle

As we have no reason as yet to think that home production of apples or the traditional pattern of United Kingdom trade in apples will be unduly disturbed by the quantity of apples in store in France, there has been no occasion to raise this matter with Ministers of other EEC member States.
