§ Mr. William PriceIn reply to a Question from the hon. and learned Member for Darwen (Mr. Fletcher-Cooke) on 8th June 1972—[Vol. 838, c.151–2]—my right hon. Friend's predecessor announced new measures for determining allowances for expatriate staff. She is considering whether any further changes in existing policies may be necessary after March 1976, when current supplementation agreements with overseas Governments expire. She will place her conclusions before Parliament in due course and seek authority and financial provision for any continuing arrangements. Expatriate staff at present in service, or who will be appointed meanwhile and whose service will extend beyond March 1976, will receive benefits to which they are at present entitled under the existing supplementation agreements which, with the agreement of the Government concerned, we shall extend as and if necessary.
