asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what official support was provided by Her Majesty's Government for the recent Anglo-German conference in Edinburgh; and whether he was consulted on the selection of the British participants in the conference.

Three of Her Majesty's Ministers, together with senior officials, participated in the Königswinter conference held in Edinburgh at the end of March. My right hon. Friend was not consulted on the selection of the other British participants.
