HC Deb 04 April 1974 vol 871 cc441-2W
Mr. Tyler

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to prevent the demolition of the Martyrs School, one of the few buildings extant of those designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh for his home town, to make way for a link in the Glasgow motorway system.

Mr. William Ross

I have at present before me an application by Glasgow Corporation, which owns the building, for consent to demolish it. The hon. Member will appreciate that it would not be appropriate for me to comment meanwhile.
