§ Mr. Robin F. Cookasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will provide a grant to the Scottish Association of Boys' Clubs to support the work of their residential centre at Dunkeld.
§ Mr. William RossGrants are normally given to national voluntary organisations only towards expenditure on headquarters administration and the training of leaders and in 1973–74 the association was offered £10,000 for these purposes. In view, however, of the special circumstances of the association's residential centre and the efforts it is making to put its finances on a sound footing, I agreed to its request for a special once-for-all grant of £5,000 towards its expenses in 1973–74, and this has now been paid.
