asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will introduce provisions further to the Counter-Inflation (Private Sector Residential Rents) Order to allow for an early review of those rents which are at a level insufficient to allow for maintenance and repairs.

Mr. Freeson

The measures to follow the standstill on rents are being considered.
