asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the Channel Tunnel proposal.

46. Mr. Costain

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what further consideration he intends to give to the details of the existing Channel Tunnel scheme before proceeding with the legislation necessary for its construction following completion of current preliminary operations under Phase II; and to what extent this will involve consultation with the French Government and other private financial groups involved in the project.

62. Mr. Stanley

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the Channel Tunnel is to be included in the Government's reappraisal of major development projects.

75. Mr. Peyton

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to be able to make a statement on the Channel Tunnel.

76. Mr. Walter Johnson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he proposes to issue a statement on the future of the Channel Tunnel.
