asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will state the number of non-industrial civil servants located, respectively, in the North-West Economic Planning Region and in other planning regions, including Greater London, and the number of such civil servants located in the Merseyside area.

Merseyside includes Liverpool, Birkenhead, Bootle, Crosby, Litherland and Wallasey.
Inner and Outer London is the area within 16 miles of Charing Cross, together with Caterham, Dartford, Uxbridge and Watford.
