§ Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will make a statement on the attempts by Narendra Unadkat, formerly of Uganda, to gain access to the United Kingdom, on the refusals by the Home Office to grant such access and on the progress of his review of the case.
§ Mr. LaneNarendra Unadkat, a citizen of Uganda, arrived here from India via Belgium on 3rd September without an entry clearance. He had no claim to admission for settlement under the immigration rules and was returned to Belgium on 11th October. He came back on 13th October and is at present detained while his case is being reviewed. In considering it I shall give due weight to the points made on his behalf by the hon. Member.
