HC Deb 25 October 1973 vol 861 cc689-90W
Mr. Meacher

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many households in each of the last 10 years have had their electricity or gas supply cut off for arrears of payment or for any other reason after warning by the appropriate board other than merely because oil' removals; how many of these had their supply cut off for less than 2 weeks, 2–8 weeks, 8–26 weeks, 26–52 weeks, and over 52 weeks; and what percentage are each of these totals of the number of households served by, respectively, gas and electricity.

Mr. Emery

I am asking the chairmen of the Electricity Council and the British Gas Corporation to write to the hon. Member with such information as is available.
