§ Mr. Cordleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what criteria he is applying to proposed agency agreements between the new counties and districts.
§ Mr. Graham PageAdvice was given to the new local authorities about the exercise of their agency powers under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 in Circular 131/72 issued by the Department of the Environment, a copy of which I am sending to my hon. Friend. The same criteria and approach are being adopted in the consideration of applications for directions in respect of agency arrangements under Section 110 of that Act.
