HC Deb 07 November 1973 vol 863 cc189-90W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Norhern Ireland why building operations have ceased on Housing Executive houses at Portavogie; how long the houses have been left in an uncompleted state; what damage has been caused in the meantime; and when it is expected that the work will be resumed to provide the houses.

Mr. Peter Mills

Work on the improvement of 20 Northern Ireland Housing Executive dwellings at Portavogie was temporarily interrupted during the summer because the contractor was unable to recruit suitable workpeople. I am informed that there has been some minor damage inside some of the houses which the contractors will make good. Work has now been resumed and it is expected that the improvements will be completed shortly.
