asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make a statement on the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards the rôle of the EEC with relation to the current Geneva talks on the International Sugar Agreement.

Mr. Godber

I am pleased that the Community is taking part in these talks and I hope that, if the Geneva conference draws up a new international sugar agreement, the Community will be able to accede to it in accordance with its declared intention at the UNCTAD conference in May 1972.
