§ Mr. Anthony StodartMonthly average first hand values of cod—head on and gutted—landed by British vessels in Great Britain were £6.30 a hundredweight in January 1971, £8.21 in August 1972 and £11.09 in January 1973, the most recent month available. Mid-monthly retail prices of cod fillets in the United Kingdom for these months were 23.8p, 31.8p and 36.8p a pound respectively.
