HC Deb 24 July 1973 vol 860 c551W
Mr. Lomas

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services why the ancillary staff employed in the special hospitals—Moss Side, Rampton and Broadmoor—have not received the £1 plus 4 per cent. due on 1st April; and if he will make a statement.

Sir K. Joseph

Agreement has now been reached to apply the pay settlements reached for ancillary staffs employed in the National Health Service to the ancillary staffs employed in the special hospitals. In addition the special "lead" paid to certain of the ancillary staffs in the special hospitals has been increased by 4 per cent. from 1st April.

These improvements are being implemented as soon as possible.
