§ Mr. Oakesasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now name the chairman and his appointees to the regional water authorities in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
§ Mr. RipponI named the chairmen-designate of the water authorities in a reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Hemel Hempstead (Mr. Allason) on 10th July 1973; and I confirm that I am making these appointments. In my reply to the hon. Member for Acton (Mr. Spearing) on 19th July I said that I hoped to announce shortly the names of my other appointments to the water authorities.
