Mr. Carter-Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to provide a small suitable waiting room in every hospital for the relatives of critically ill patients; and if he will make a statement.

Accommodation of this kind is provided in all new hospital buildings. Many existing hospitals provide these rooms but some have difficulty because of lack of space.
