asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to ensure that the police are given powers of arrest on a High Court injunction.

Mr. Carlisle

My right hon. Friend does not believe this is necessary because the powers of arrest needed to support an injunction are already possessed by the appropriate High Court officers.
