§ 54. Mr. Cormackasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many trees have been felled as a result of Dutch elm disease; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartNo felling returns have been made by local authorities since the revocation of the Dutch Elm Disease (Local Authorities) Orders on 10th January 1973, and so I have no later information than that included in the reply which I gave my hon. Friend on 7th February.—[Vol. 850, c. 727.]
The number of trees felled as a result of the disease will be broadly assessed by the Forestry Commission during a survey later in the year.
