HL Deb 03 July 1973 vol 344 c234WA
THE EARL OF SELKIRK

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they can state when the extension Eastward of the M.3 to the Borough of Twickenham will be completed; and whether any of the extension will be open in part at an earlier date.

BARONESS YOUNG

I understand the Greater London Council expect that the improvement of Sunbury Way and Twickenham Road (A.305), between the Eastern end of the M.3 at Sunbury Cross and the Hope and Anchor junction, will be completed in the autumn of 1975. The first stage of this scheme—providing dual two-lane carriageways—is however expected to be completed in the spring of 1974, at the same time as the Light-water to Sunbury Cross length of the M.3.
