§ LORD IRONSIDEasked Her Majesty's Government:
- (1) Whether descriptive leaflets and route plans relating to the proposed A.12 by-pass at Chelmsford may still be consulted by members of the public at local post offices and certain other places, and if so for how much longer;
234 - (2) How many completed questionnaires expressing preference for one of the three proposed routes have now been received by the Department of the Environment; and
- (3) Whether completed questionnaires and comments posted after June 15 will be taken into consideration.
§ THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT (BARONESS YOUNG)
- (1) The descriptive documents which had been available for consultation by the public for the preceding seven weeks were removed from the places of deposit on June 19.
- (2) Approximately 13,000 questionnaires have been received.
- (3) Those received up to June 22 have been accepted.
