§ Mr. Anthony StodartHer Majesty's Government are continuing to work for the implementation by the International Whaling Commission of the proposal for a 10-year moratorium on commercial whaling which was adopted at the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment. Accordingly, we again supported the proposal for a moratorium at this year's meeting of the International Whaling Commission, but it was not carried. We also supported a proposal for a reduced quota leading to the complete24W cessation by 1976 of the killing of fin whales in the Antarctic, and this proposal was carried.
