§ Mr. St. John-StevasThe Director of Administration of Kingston upon Hull wrote to my right hon. Friend on 11th January about possible hardship to families with 15-year old children no longer eligible for educational maintenance allowances as a result of the raising of the school-leaving age. I regret that there has been delay in dealing with the letter, but a reply is being prepared and a copy will be sent to the hon. Member.
