§ Mr. William Priceasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many premises subject to the Factories Act 1961 are inspected by the Mines and Quarries Inspectorate; and how many prosecutions in respect of those premises have been brought in each of the past 10 years.
§ Mr. EmeryInspections are made occasionally by arrangement with or at the request of Her Majesty's inspectors of factories. Prosecutions are very rare. I am sorry, but more precise information could not be obtained without disproportionate cost.
