To specify the responsibilities of the Minister for Europe.

My Lords, I assume that the noble Lord is referring to my right honourable friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. My right honourable friend is responsible for the co-ordination of Government policies in relation to the European Communities. He is also responsible for the co-ordination of policy on research and development issues.
