§ Mr. Cordleasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the current weekly catch in the disputed 340W fishing zone off Iceland ; and whether he is satisfied with the operation in practice of the latest agreement.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe latest date up to which information is available is 17th November. The weekly catch by British trawlers fishing off Iceland during the four weeks prior to that date averaged 3,646 metric tons. I am satisfied that, given good will on both sides, the interim agreement will operate effectively, and so far it has done so.
