§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food why expenditure on forestry is being reduced from an estimate of £51 million in 1972– 73 to £32 million in 1973–74.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe reduction in the estimated expenditure is due to the proposed recasting of the Forestry Commission's accounts in accordance with the arrangements outlined in the consultative document on forestry policy published in June 1972. This resulted in a reduction in the interest charges included in the Estimates from £34 million in 1972–73 to £15 million in 1973–74
