§ Mrs. FennerMeat analogues in this country at present are not accurately described as synthetic as they are prepared solely from natural edible veget-30W able materials which are a good source of protein, vitamins and minerals. This situation is likely to continue into the foreseeable future. Nevertheless, the Food Standards Committee is reviewing these materials and has asked the Committee on Medical Aspects of Food Policy to advise it whether there is any need for fortification with additional nutrients.
