§ Mr. EmeryThe Government are currently negotiating with the European Commission an agreement under Article 56 of the Treaty of Paris for financial assistance towards tide-over payments, unemployment benefits, and training and resettlement allowances for redundant steelworkers; details have not yet been finalised.
